An article commentary written by Slavomíra Ferenčuhová appeared in the newly established journal Dialogues in Urban Research. The commentary „Multiple and regionally specific organizational forms of urban studies?“  responds to Bas van Heur’s research article What, where and who is urban studies? It praises van Heur’s approach to analysing global urban studies production. However, based on observations of regional specificities of the history of urban research in Central and Eastern Europe, Slavomíra polemises with van Heur’s operationalisation of urban studies in his bibliometric analysis.
