Slávka Ferenčuhová gave a lecture at the Department of Garden and Landscape Architecture at Mendel University as part of the course Urbanism. Her lecture for students, titled "Climate Change and Cities", took place on 10 December 2025 in Lednice.

Abstract:

Since when, how, and why have cities been discussed in relation to climate change? How do cities in different parts of the world—both local governments and residents—respond to the threats and challenges associated with global climate change? And what does the response to climate change look like in cities across the Czech Republic? Is it possible that we react to climate change in everyday situations without even realizing it?

In the lecture titled “Climate Change and Cities,” we explore potential answers to these and other questions.
